1. Data controller
Your personal data is processed by Citeance (an Alfi Technology company) ("Citeance"), in its capacity as data controller, within the framework described below and under 6698 sayılı Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu ("KVKK"), Türkiye’s personal data protection law. 2. Personal data processed
- Identity data: first name, last name.
- Contact data: email address, phone number.
- Customer transaction data: request content, message text, company and industry information.
- Transaction security data: IP address, browser and device information, access logs.
- Marketing data: newsletter subscription preference, cookie-based usage data.
3. Purposes of processing
- Providing the analyses, demos and services you request.
- Responding to contact requests and running support processes.
- Running contract processes and billing.
- Measuring and improving service quality.
- Sending marketing communications where you have given explicit consent.
- Ensuring information security and fulfilling legal obligations.
4. Legal grounds
Under KVKK art. 5/2, your personal data is processed on the legal grounds that it is necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract, that the data controller must fulfill a legal obligation, and that it is necessary for the legitimate interest of the data controller; marketing communication, by contrast, is processed on the basis of your explicit consent.
5. Transfer
Your personal data may be shared, to the extent the service requires, with the suppliers from which we receive hosting, email delivery, analytics and payment infrastructure services. Some suppliers’ servers may be located abroad; in that case the conditions set out in KVKK art. 9 are complied with. The current list of the service providers used: [to be completed].
Citeance does not use its customers’ brand data to train AI models and does not share it with other customers.
6. Retention period
Your personal data is retained for as long as the purpose of processing requires and for the limitation periods laid down in the relevant legislation. Once that period ends, the data is erased, destroyed or anonymized. Retention periods by data type: [to be completed].
7. Rights of the data subject
Under KVKK art. 11 you have the right to: learn whether your personal data is being processed; request information about it if it has been processed; learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in line with that purpose; know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to which it has been transferred; request that it be corrected if it has been processed incompletely or incorrectly; request that it be erased or destroyed; request that these actions be notified to the third parties to which the data was transferred; object to an adverse outcome concerning you that arises from your data being analyzed by automated systems; and demand compensation if you suffer damage.
